The Legend of Koro

Long before the first card was pulled, there was Koro.

In the old stories, tanuki are wanderers, shape-shifters drawn to the places where fortune hides. Koro was different. He wasn't chasing gold or glory. He was chasing the rare things. The ones with weight to them. The ones collectors dream about and almost never find.

He roamed. He hunted. He found.

Paw raised. Eyes bright. Scarf catching the wind. Always one step ahead of everyone else, always leaving with the best thing in the room.

They say the tanuki brings good fortune to those who believe.

Koro brings the treasure.
